Activism agency?

If capitalism has stifled the development of other more socially and environmentally sustainable alternative economic systems, it is, in part, because its processes have evolved to result in highly functional methodologies at the service of capital and dominated by the famous 1%. This increasingly recognizable network of corporations, financial institutions, politicians, billionaires, and other high-powered figures, benefit and protect each other at the expense of the rest of the population. In line, neoliberalism builds and defends the idea that the knowledge of capitalism can only serve to generate the economic wealth of that 1% and that, therefore, it is not for us. On the contrary, we have been told that precariousness, informality, anger, and resentment correspond to us, that our work is not monetizable, that we must choose between ideals or security, between living-your-own-way or death (physical, social, cultural ...) What happens if we invert logic, if we twist the system to support both needs: ideals and security (economic, physical, social ...)?

From Border, after fourteen years experimenting with different business and cultural management models that have evolved from the schemes of the third sector, to community logics and horizontal approaches, we have proposed a new process of experimentation that starts from the question: What happens if we use some of the tools of capitalism to go against capitalism? With these questions in mind, we return to the figure of the agency as the organizational epitome of capitalism to subvert its methodological power, diverting its ultimate purpose: from the accumulation of capital to the accumulation of social justice, from that 1% to the other 99%, from the center to the peripheries, from heteronormativity to gender-gender differences.

From this methodological turn we seek to give continuity to our transfeminist and anti-neoliberal struggles. Sexually dissident people are murdered, criminalized, harassed and / or violated because of our gender identity, sexual orientation, our affections, corporalities, serological states, neurodivergences and addictions. And from these and other violence, the system is nourished and strengthened by consuming our lives, affections and bodies. Paradoxically, this system that violates us also belongs to us. What's more, we are experts in its language, its logic, its violence and its disruptive potential because it has crossed our lives and we are aware of it. From this life experience, capitalist dysphoria can be transformed into a micro-systemic euphoria.

From Border we want to use some of the processes and methodologies of capitalism to invert its logic in our favor and in favor of our allies. We want to think that Border, as an activism agency, is a counterattack, a subversive exercise and community empowerment. We would very much like to have your participation.
